Martin Magdinier – CEO

Martin Magdinier is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for data. He has been engaged with innovative start-ups and open data communities in France, Vietnam, and Canada since 2007. Coming from a business background (with a Master’s degree in IT Management), Martin’s focus is on data management and transformation tools that empower the business user.

In 2011 Martin started to blog tips and tutorials about OpenRefine in order to help other business users get the most out of this open source tool. In 2012, when Google released the software to the community, Martin helped to structure the new organization. In late 2014, he launched RefinePro, a cloud-based SaaS data cleaning platform based on OpenRefine.

Today Martin continues to actively support the OpenRefine user base and advocates its usage in various communities, including becoming a reviewer of Using OpenRefine (published by Packt in 2013).

Roger Bannister

Roger Bannister is a veteran sales and marketing professional, consultant, and start-up advisor, with more than three decades of frontline and managerial experience in sales, marketing and business operations with regional, national and global responsibilities. Roger was Director of Sales / Director of Field Operations for Radian6, the leader in social media monitoring SaaS Company which was acquired by CRM giant SalesForce in 2012.

During his tenure at Radian6/SalesForce Roger worked closely with the CEO, and VPs of Sales and Marketing.

Vincent Pineau

Vincent Pineau is Talend’s Vice President of Global Services & Support. He joined Talend in 2007 as General Manager for the Americas. A business intelligence and data management industry veteran, he has also held executive positions with MicroStrategy, a global leader in business intelligence, and Open Solution where he oversaw QA and ran strategic training.

Manik Surtani

Manik Surtani is a technologist, entrepreneur and author with a background in high availability, distributed and cloud computing, big data and mobile and wireless technology. He is a keen advocate of open source software and standards, a frequent public speaker at technology conferences and blogger on data grids and distributed computing. He has authored technical books on data grids and performance-sensitive architectures, and holds several patents related to distributed computing.

Manik is the founder of Infinispan, an open source data grid platform, was one of the core developers at JBoss, the world’s first enterprise-grade fully open source Java EE application server, and has long served as a principal middleware architect at Red Hat.
